RESTLESSRestless is an arts activism project about community, visibility and voice for survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. At the heart of the project, walking and coastal landscapes offer imagery revealing survivor experiences - of exposure, navigating challenging territory, occupying the edges - and the sea provides a central metaphor of the power of continuous collective action to make change.
In November 2020 we launched a digital artwork (She walks...) combining music, spoken word, rap and animation based on Viv’s experience of walking stretches of the South West Coast Path. Alongside this we are running the #MyLineInTheSand campaign for survivors and allies to share messages of hope, rage and solidarity. |
CUTTING OUTCutting Out is part show, part installation, part collective act of resistance. It is about bearing witness to the 11 million adult survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse in the UK - a public act of mourning for 11 million lost childhoods - with silly bits to make it all bearable.
Viv cuts out chains of paper dolls - each doll represents one heroic story of survival - she wants to make 11 million of them and she needs your help.... |
THE BOOK OF JOThe Book of Jo looks at what happens when life falls apart.
How can we maintain hope when the worst happens? And why do bad things happen anyway? A woman faced with a rare and random terminal diagnosis sits in the debris of her life contemplating meaning and social justice with the dubious help of the old testament story The Book of Job “The story is unapologetically, unflinchingly told, with sadness, desperation, rage and wry humour. This is theatre that seeps into the soul and stays with you for weeks.” - Robin Peters, Director at Strode Theatre |
